José Rosario Godoy ( Agaete, Gran Canaria. 1965) Visual artist has made numerous collective and individual exhibitions, highlighting recently the shows "La Mirada Azul" in the MuseoAntonio Padrón " "A Dos" in the Magda Lázaro Gallery and "Espejismo Abstracto", a review of my last 20 years of work, produced by the CAAM, (Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno) in the San Martín Centro de Cultura Contemporánea. His work has been exhibited in different galleries in Berlin, Lisbon, Seville, Santander, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria... and he has also participated in several editions of the Arco Fair in Madrid, New Art Barcelona, Arte Lisboa, Arte Santander, Foro Sur... Self-taught, he won the first prize of the Canary Islands in Plastic Arts in 1981, and a prize in the Plastic Arts Biennial in Telde (Gran Canaria) in 1993. He participated in the workshops of Arte Actual (1985-87) as a student of Juan Genovés, Hernández Pijuan and Jordi Teixidor. Some of his works are part of public and private collections in Spain, London, Italy, Berlin... he has made sculptures and public interventions in Cantabria, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.
